Family Logger is developed and operated by Appzyard, a mobile application developer based in India. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through this App.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register an account
• Profile Details: Optional information such as a profile picture or family member names
• Family Log Data: Notes, records, events, images, or any other content you enter into the App
• Communications: Messages or information you send to us, such as support requests

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
• Usage Data: Features accessed, time spent in the App, frequency of use, and interaction patterns
• Log Data: IP address, app crash reports, and diagnostic information
• App Permissions: Data accessed via permissions you grant (e.g., camera, storage) solely to provide the requested features

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Google Play Services: Authentication or account data if you sign in using Google
• Analytics Providers: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to help us understand how the App is used

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the App: Enabling you to create accounts, log family data, and use all App features
• To personalize your experience: Remembering your preferences and settings within the App
• To improve the App: Analyzing usage patterns and crash reports to fix bugs and develop new features
• To communicate with you: Sending important notices, updates to our policies, or responses to your support queries
• To ensure security: Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Within Your Family Group

Content and logs you create within a shared family group in the App will be visible to other members of that family group. You control who is added to your family group.

4.2 Service Providers

We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, such as cloud hosting, analytics, or crash reporting services. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services to us.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities in India (such as a court or government agency), or where we believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable laws or legal processes
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Appzyard, our users, or the public
• Detect or prevent fraud, security, or technical issues

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or prominent in-app notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Family Logger may request the following permissions on your Android device. All permissions are used solely to deliver the App's features:

• Camera: To capture photos for family logs or profile pictures (only when you initiate this action)
• Storage / Files: To save or retrieve content such as images related to your logs
• Internet: To sync your data and communicate with our servers
• Notifications: To send you reminders or alerts you have configured within the App

You may manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings. Revoking a permission may limit certain features of the App.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. Specifically:

• Account data is retained until you request deletion of your account
• Family log data is retained as long as your account exists, or until you delete individual entries
• Usage and diagnostic data may be retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months for analytical purposes
• Legal hold: We may retain certain data for longer periods where required by Indian law or for legitimate legal purposes

Upon deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention obligations.

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard protocols (e.g., HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure server infrastructure with access controls and regular monitoring
• Restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis within Appzyard
• Regular review and improvement of our security practices

Family Logger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

The App may be used by parents or guardians to log information about their minor children as part of family record-keeping. In such cases, the parent or guardian is the account holder and is responsible for the data entered.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete such information. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us immediately at contact@appzyard.com.

As a user of Family Logger, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Please note that some rights may be limited where we have a legal obligation to retain data or where the data is necessary for providing the service.

The App may use or link to third-party services including:

• Google Play Services – For app distribution, updates, and optional authentication
• Firebase / Google Analytics – For crash reporting and anonymized usage analytics
• Cloud Storage Providers – For secure data storage and syncing

These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. Appzyard is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party services. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement by Appzyard.

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India. If any data is transferred to third-party service providers located outside India, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including contractual clauses requiring those providers to protect your data to a standard equivalent to Indian requirements.

As a mobile application, Family Logger does not use browser cookies. However, we may use similar technologies such as:

• Mobile Analytics SDKs: To understand how users interact with the App
• Device Identifiers: Such as Android Advertising ID, for analytics purposes
• Crash Reporting Tools: To identify and resolve technical issues

You may opt out of certain analytics tracking by adjusting your device's privacy settings under Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization on your Android device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the effective date at the top of this policy
• Notify you via an in-app notice or by email to the address associated with your account

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and any other applicable data protection regulations in India.

Any disputes arising in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
